The “Love Your Neighbor, Feed Your Neighbor” (LYNFYN) food drive is in its fourth year! Please mark your calendar for May 2, 2015 in preparation for this multi-faith food drive, which will benefit six local Loudoun food pantries including the DSFP. This drive is an initiative of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors who have also designated May 2015 as Hunger Awareness Month. Numerous community sponsors support the drive and nearly 90,000 lbs of food was donated last year. For more information on how you can participate, go to www.lynfyn.org, like their Facebook page at Love Your Neighbor Feed Your Neighbor – Dulles South, or follow them on twitter at @LYNFYN2015.

The Board is pleased to announce that we have applied and been accepted to be a member of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, a part of Feeding America. This partnership will greatly help our pantry and the neighbors it serves. For more info see their website at www.brafb.org.
The Board is also grateful for the service of Bob Lynd who is recently retired after serving since the opening of the pantry. We appreciate his dedicated service. We also welcome new board member Julie Abel who will be helping the pantry with marketing efforts.
